MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THE;

FISHERS ISLAND FERRY DISTRICT
September 4. 1980
A special meeting of the Board of Commi ssi (mers was called
by the Chairman at 1:00 p.m. in the office of the Ferry Dis-
trict. Present were Commissi,oners duPont, Doyen, Baker, and
Edwards. Absent Commi.ssi.oner Evans. Tne outstanding obli-
gations of the Fishers Island Ferry Distrtct in the amount of
$38,146.78 as represented by vouchers 289 through 327 inclus-
tve were read by the Secretary. A motion was made by C~mis-
sioner Doyen and seconded by COmmtssioner Baker that the Qut-

The following resolution was passed with respect to transfer,
of funds within the budget:

WHEREAS the Commissioners wish to transfer funds within the
budget
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of $598.03 be trans-
ferred from the line item "New york State Retirement" to the
line item "Repairs... Docks & Bui ldings.it
It was reported by the manager that a hearing on leasing part
of building U383 to Richard Grebe must be rescheduled 'due to
not running a legal notice before the Qriginal hearing held
on July 30, 1980.
A quotatlon for in!;tallati.oQ of a lightning arrester was pre-
sented to the Board. After d1.scussion 1.t was dectded to'take
no action unti.l a second quotation could be received andean-
s1.dered.

A letter from the New London Redevelopment Agency was read.
The manager was d1.rected to contact a prospecttve develOpe,(',
Ph1.1ip Handelman, to set up a meeting with the board.
Mai.ntenance of a late boat on sundays was discussed. It was
dectded to retain a 5:30 p.m. trip through Qc~ober.
Meeting adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
