September 3, 1981
A specia~ meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Fish-
ers Island Ferry District was called by the Chairman at 1:00
p.m. in the office of the Ferry District. Present were Com-
missioners duPont, Doyen, Baker, Evans, and Edwards. The fol-
lowing resolutions were adopted by the Board of Commissioners:
Moved by Commissioner Edwards, seconded by Commissioner Evans,
WHEREAS the f'ishers Island Ferry District has incurred
outstanding obligations of $81,945.90 as rebresented by
vouchers 236 through 281 inclusive; and
\'iHEREAS these ohl 19a t ions are due an,i payable
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the TO\m Board of the Town
of Southold authorize payment of said obligations.
Vote of the Board of Commissioners: Ayes: Commissioner du-
Pont, Commissioner Doyen, Commissioner Baker, Commissioner
Evarts, and Commissioner Edwards. Nays: None.

grant agreement with the people of the State of New York,
acting by and through the Commissioner of Transportation, for
the purpose of accepting $175,000.00 in state appropriated
funds to affect repairs to docks and rlated faeil ities at
Fishers Island, New York; and

!,IHEREAS the Fishers Island Ferry distr"ict requires the
services of a professional engineer to prepare plans, spec-
ifications and bid documents and to perform r~lated functions,

':J!iEREAS the fir'r of DiCesare Bentley Engineers Inc. of
Groton, CT has proposed to perform the necessary services for
a fee equal to 6% of the cost of the contract.
THEREfORE BE IT HESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners
enter into an agreement with DiCesare !3entley Engineers Inc.
for providing of engineering services incident to repair of
docks and rleated facilities at Fishers Island, New York.

damage to the Navy's pier at Silver Eel Pond. The Navy has
been notified that our Insurer, Adams and Porter, is handling
