MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE
FISHERS ISLAND FERRY DISTRICT
December 31, 1981
A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Fish-
ers Island Ferry District was called by the acting Chairman,
Commissioner Doyen, at 1:00 p.m. in the office of the Ferry
District. Present were Commissioners Doyen, Baker, and Ed-
Wards. Absent Commissioners duPont and Evans. The outstand-
ing obligations of the Ferry District were read by the Sec-
retary for purposes of audit by the Commissioners. At the
conclusion of the reading and discussion thereof, the follow-
ingresolution was adopted by the Board ofC()!ftmissionex-sr'
Moved by Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner Edwards,
WHEREAS the Fishers Island Ferry District has incurred
outstanding obligations of $27,332.86, $11,930.37 of which
is encumbered from the 1981 budget, as represented by vouchers
1 through 15 inclusive; and

WHEREAS these obligations are due and payable

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of the
Town of Southald authorize payment of said obligations.
Vote of the Board of Commissioners: Ayes:
Commissioner Baker, Commissioner Edwards.
Commissioner Doyen,
Nays: None.
In other business the manager reported receipt of the Audit
conducted by the St ,te Controller for the period January 1,
1975 through December 31, 1980. The report was reviewed bY
the commissioners. It was also noted that the required legal
notice had been published in the New London Day, The SUffolk
Times, and the Long Island Traveler-Watchman.

Also made available were copies of correspondence seht to and
received from Assemblyman Behan (Lst Assy. Dist.) with rega:rd
to the ~ additional sales tax being levied to subsidize the
Metropolitan Commuter Transit District.
Meeting adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
