Dear Mr. Bambrick:
The following took place at a meeting of the Southold Town Planning Board on
Monday, October 21, 1996:
The final public hearing which was held at 7:40 p.m. was closed.
The following resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, George and Carol Bambrick are the owners of the property known and
designated as SCTM# 1000-59-5-7 & 8,Iocated at 85 Lake Court in Southold; and
WHEREAS, this proposed lot line change is to subtract 7,096 square feet from a
23,700 square foot parcel and to add it to a 7,000 square foot parcel; and
WHEREAS, the Southold Town Planning Board, pursuant to the State Environmental
Quality Review act, (Article 8), Part 617, declared itself lead agency and issued a
Negative Declaration on August 26, 1996; and
WHEREAS, a variance was granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals on August 21,
1996; and

WHEREAS, a final public hearing was closed on said lot line change application at
Town Hall, Southold, New York on October 21, 1996; and
WHEREAS, all the requirements of the Subdivision Regulations of the Town of
Southold have been met; be it therefore
RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Planning Board grant conditional final approval on
the surveys dated July 10, 1996 and authorize the Chairman to endorse the final
surveys subject to fulfillment of the following condition. This condition must be met
within six (6) months of the date of this resolution:
1. The filing of new deeds pertaining to the merger of the 7,096 square feet
from the 23,700 square foot parcel SCTM# 1000-59-5-8 with the 7,000
square foot parcel SCTM# 1000-59-5-7.
A copy of the recorded deed must be presented to the Planning Board prior to
endorsement of the final survey.

for a lot line change merging 7,096 square feet from the 23,700 square foot parcel 5CTM # 1000-59-
5-8 with the 7,000 square foot parcel 5CTM # IlJOO..59..5..7.
Final approval would be granted subject to the filing and recording of the new deeds pertaining to the
above merger.
On Nov 20, 1996 my wife received a single lung transplant at Barnes Hospital in St. LouisWe win be
in St. Louis for some lime while she recouperates from this operation. There is a possibility we may
not retum in lime to complete the requirements for final approval by AprU 211997.
I am requesting the Planning Board grant me a one year extension to meet the requirements.! am
sure this will give us enough lime to complete our slay in 51. Louis and retum to 5outho1d to comply

Environmental Quality Review act, (Article 8), Part 617, declared itself lead
agency and issueda Negative Declaration on August 26, 1996; and
WHEREAS, a variClnce was granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals on August
21,1996;and
WHEREAS, a final publiC hearing was closed on said lot line change
application at Town Hall, Southold, New York on October 21, 1996; and
WHEREAS, all the requirements of the Subdivision Regulations of the Town of
Southold have been met; be it therefore

square feetfrom a 23,700 square foot parcel; to a 7,000 square foot parcel.
Both parcels are non-conforming parcels, Thus the smaller non-conforming
parcel will become more conforming, The change requires a Zoning Board of
Appeals decision, The change will not result in a more intensive use of the land,
An Environmental Assessment Form has been submitted and reviewed,
- and it was determined that no significant adverse effects to the
environment were likely to occur should the project be implemented
as planned,

My lot is quite small at 7,000 sq. ft. My sons' lot is irregular
in shape and the section to be transfered is directly behind my lot.
The approval of the line change would increase my lot to 14,000 sq. ft.
which is in keeping with the other lots on the block. My sons' lot
would then be 16,604 sq. ft. and still comparable to the other lots on
the block.
A recent survey revealed that my shed and deck do not meet the
current setback requirements, the approval of this line change will
enable me to meet all setback requirements.
Attached for your review are the following:
1. A letter signed and notorized by myself and my sons consenting to
the lot line change and explaining the reasons for the change.
2. Affadavit that upon approval the transferred portion of lot #8
will be merged with lot #7.
