"CYLE STEPHEN MORELL MIlfUTE8 OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE FISHERS ISLAND FERRY DISTRICT July 6, 1970 A special meeting ot the Boar. ot Corondssioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District was called by the Chairman and held in the offioe of the Ferry District July 6, 1970 at 7:00 P.M.. Present were Commissioners Baldwin, Edmonds, Doyen and W. O. Sincla~r, Mgr.-Sec. The Minutes of th~ M~eting hell June 5, 1970 were rea. and approved as read. The Mana~er was directed to contact Mr. Phil ~orby re~ardi~ having an attendant at the airport even in incl~ent weather. Chairman Baldwin then discus st. some of our summer resi.ents who ha. requeste. a rate increase on the ferry to make it se1t sustaining and yet who were transportinfl people on their yachts ani not using the terry. He telt that they were not cooperating in the matter. He pointed out that the winter peoule and year round residents ha. to use the terry in spite of the rates and that it vasn't tair. A letter .ate. June 23, 1970 was rea. trom Guthrie Tarift Bureau relative to ~oup rates. General .ll.ussion ensued on this and lt was tabled for further .lscussion. Motion was lIIa.e by Comm. Eaon.s and seconded by 001IIII. Doyen that vouohers #125 through #153 lnclu.i.e representinp the outstanding obligations at the Ferry District for June 1970 in the aM01mt ot 123,437.74 be pai..
