FOYL.E MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE FISHERS ISLAND FERRY DISTRICT Beh. 8, 1968 A special meeting of the Board of Co~issioners was oalled by the Chairman and held in the office of the Ferry Diltrict, Fe~. 8, 1968 at 5:00 P.M.. Prelent were Comrilsionerl Baldwin, Grebe, Foyle, Edmonds and W. C. Sinclairt Mgr.-Sec.. The Minutes of the Meetingl held December 5, 1967 and January 4, 1960 were read and approved al read. Motion by Commissioner Grebe and seconded by Commissioner Foyle that voucherl #50839 through #50857 inclulive in the amount $6739.55 representing the ou.standing obligations of the Ferry Diltrict tor the month of January 1968 be paid. Motion unanimoully carried. General discussion enlued on the bids received for the operation of the MYltic Isle. Letter dated January 15, 1968 from Mr. Irving Miller was read regarding his recommendation for operation of the MYltic Isle. It was noted that Mr. Miller recommended Board operation of lubject ferry. Chairman Baldwin stated that Mr. Miller had made an offer to do the accounting work audits tor the Ferry Distriot for the annual sum of $1200.00. Commissioner Foyle suggested that the Board meet regularly with Mr. E. Wilcox and Captain Maxfield tor general information purpose.. The Manager reported on a traotor whioh has been Itored in one of our buildings. He was authorized to speak with Mr. Dean regarding uling lame. General discuslion ensued on anther cable for the dolphin lightl. Corom. Grebe suggested bringing the cable directly to the Coalt Guard pole rather then all the way into the pond. The Board agreed to meet next week on Tuesday or Thursday depending on Comm. Doyen availability. General discuslion ensued on the rip rap in New London. The Manager stated that in.smuoh al the generator work on the Olinda had been completed that it would be berthed at Filhers Island until further notice. The Manager waa directed to check with the Coast Guard .a regards proper approved insulating material to do the art room of the Mystic Is Motion made to adjourn and unanimously carried at 6:30 P.~.
