Re: Lot line change on approved minor
subdivision, Old North Rd, Southol¢
Dear Sir:
The enclosed application for a lot line change on my
approved minor subdivision is due to fact I would like to
avoid having to cut down special trees to put in driveway
to lot ~3, which I also own. Said trees are presently acting
to give an element of privacy to owner to the east and I prefer
not to disturb them, so wish to redirect the driveway to the
west on an angle into my lot ~3. To do so would require I
change the lot line taking a triangular piece of land
approximately one eighth of an acre off Lot ~2, which I
own and deeding it to Lot ~3 which I own also.
Thank you for your kind consideration of this request.
I can be reached at 516-765-4048 in the morning and 516-732-
2532 in the afternoon.
Respectfully ~ur~

After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
applicant requests permission to-construct two dwellings on
altered lots and also requests'approval of access for Lots
29 an= 30, ~ of Leeward Acres, $outhold. The findings of the
Board are that this proposal would improve the appearance
of the area an~ serve thc co~.~unity · ~
with the reasonin:~ o~'the applicant.~et~er' The ~oard agrees
The Board finds that strict application of the Ordinance
would produce practical difficulties or unnecessary hardship;
the hardship created is unique and would not be shared by all
properties alike in the ir~mediate vicinity of this property and
in the same use district; and the variance will not change the
character cf the neighborhood, and will observe the spirit
of the Ordinance.
THEREFORE IT WAS RESOLVED, Franklin Born, Leeward Drive,
Southold, New York be GP~NTED permission to construct two
dwellings on altered lots and be GRANTED approval of access
for Lots 29 and 30, ;4ap of Leeward Acres, Southold, Ne¥~ York,
