Main Street NE/C Beckwith Avenue, Southold SCTM~1000-61-2-8 Gentlemen: Mr. Jesse Jackson has brought to our attention a requirement that has been placed on site plan approval of his above designated property that places a hardship on the use of our property located adjacent to Mr. Jackson's property on the East side. We have a deeded right-of-way and use this driveway extensively for entrance to the second floor of our building. This floor is used for storage of our collections and the door facing this driveway is the only entrance to the second floor. Additional traffic that will come from this new business will take what little parking space is available and drivers stopping to open the gate will only impede traffic. Another concern that we have is that once we give up access to this right-of-way we may lose our right to it. Looking ahead we have no assurance that the parking lot and West entrance to Mr. Jackson's property will be leased to Southold Town, if not, the use of our property behind our building would be diminished. We hope that after reviewing our concerns you will reconsider making a gate across this driveway a requirement for site plan approval. Tel.
