Leslie next mentioned the reported shortage of dock space for small motor boals. Three boats last

~ubcummittec was funned to discuss and locate a mooring area fur 8ueh boats until the dock space
Issue clln be resolved. Committee members included Chippy. Ilaron. E1by, and Pmnk.

Leslie tabled discussion on establishing a No Discharge 7.one at t-ishers until a later dale.
Regarding the IiOftt Ramp, Nllncy lIunt mentilmed that three meetings wilh Town Highway
Supervisor Ray Jacobs hlld been set up 1tI determin~ slmlegies for dredging and mainlenance. He
Wi'S 'Illable to make the meetings. Steve mentioned that Chris Smith of Cornell Cooperative
E.xtension Service had visited the site and suggested several runoff mitigation ideu to prevent
water quality impairment or siltjn~. Anyone doing work 10 prevent further silting at the rump ought
to talk to Chris. Harris mentioned he wuuld talk to TOOl Doherty about Chris' ideas. Someone
mentioned thaI Churle. King of Chandler, Palmer & King as well liS Town Engineer Jamie Richter
would also working on the ramp.
Mooring Tackle Inspection rernindercards were mailed to pennittees for the Ii.."! time in fall 199\1.

Leslie read Dave Beckwith's response to the Cummittee's leller about noise frt'm the BO work
boat. He said that extensive repairs had bt.'Cn made Dnd that further efforts to insulate the noise
were being investigated at the yard in Noonk. Harris mentiolled he would speak to a contact at the
yard II) see how tbings were progrcssinlt.
