Meeting Minutes for 1117/05, 5:00pm
Fishers Island Office
Next meeting: Nov. 28 at 5:00pm in the Island Office.
In attendance: Sara McLean, Karla Heath, Sarah Moody, Mere Harr, Jeanne Schultz,
Charlie Stepanek
Plans:
Everyone got to see that most recent set of plans that were basically finalized when
Bruce was here last. These were discussed. There are potential adjustments that can be
made to the arts and crafts area and pottery section. The sink may need to be moved into
the kiln area to contain all the dirty and dusty stuff in one room.
Year-round Fundraising:
Karla reported that Laurie Finan has agreed to help with year-round fundraising. It
will be Karla, Gail and Laurie and they will work closely with the other fundraising
committee as well. They all plan to meet in the coming month sometime.
Potential Grants:
Jeanne reported that she had found an interesting grant that may be applicable. She
asked what we thought about it. It sounded like it could be used to do some landscaping
and the path area. She will keep us posted.
Other:
A question was raised about sewerage of 98 and it was said that Bruce is handling all
of these issues. Also, Mere needs to follow up on bowling alley information. Bill
Faulkner knows a bit about this, as he was involved in the last refurbishment of the alley.
