CALL TO ORDER
SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF EDUCATION
FISHERS ISLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT
February 13, t 999
Meeting was held in the Faculty room of the Fishers Island
School and was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Board of Education
president James Suedmeier.
MEMBERS PRESENT Christopher Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, Susan Horn, Aaron Lusker
and James Suedmeier

RETURN TO
REGULAR
SESSION
PERSONNEL
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by J. Edwards, seconded by S. Horn, and carried, the Board
adjourned to Executive Session at 9: 1 0 p.m. to discuss the
Superintendent's position.
Motion by C. Edwards, seconded by S. Horn, and carried, the Board
returned to Regular Session at 11 :00 a.m.
Motion by J. Edwards, seconded by S. Horn, and carried, the Board
voted to include Kevin Heulsman as a final candidate for the
February 20 interviews for the Superintendent's position.
Motion by C. Edwards, seconded by J. Edwards, and carried, the Board
voted to include Kathleen Koehnen as a final candidate for the
February 20 interviews for the Superintendent's position.
Motion by J. Edwards, seconded by A. Lusker, and carried, the Board
adjourned the meeting at 11: 1 0 a.m.

Mary Walter asked questions about the public interviews of the
Superintendent candidates. She also expressed her concern about
the selection of Magnet students.
Motion by A. Lusker, seconded by S. Horn, and carried, the Board
adjourned to Executive Session at 6:40 p.m. to discuss negotiations.
Motion by J. Edwards, seconded by A. Lusker, and carried, the Board
returned to Regular Session at 7:28 p.m.
Motion by J. Edwards, seconded by S. Horn, and carried, the Board
adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
