Goss outlined that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss management of the
Marina/Y acht Club site in West Harbor and make recommendations to FIDCO via
correspondence in time for the RDCO meeting on May 14. The committee should also
review requests for moorings collected to date by head Bay Constable, Tom Doherty.
NOTE:
See two attachments for results of discussions on these two topics.
During the discussion of providing launch service for, collecting fees from and keeping
reeords of transient mooring users, the committee agreed that on an annual basis, the
Fishers Island Harbor Committee authorizes (or approves) the Bay Constable to issue a
number of mooring permits for transient use in the spirit of reciprocity. Fees collected for
use of transient moorings are set by the committee but are used to offset costs to permittee
of placement and maintaining moorings. These transient moorings are not to be considered
as "rental" moorings.
'During discussions on mooring requests, the committee noted some thought was needed on
whether or not there should be special considerations for shoreside property owners
requesting moorings in comparison to mooring field applicants,
The meeting adjourned at 6: 15pm
