Raynor, Jr. , Chairman Southold Planning Board Southold, New York 11971 Dear Mr . Raynor: During the course of application for the minor subdivision of Smith, Carter, Blanchard, at Fisher' s Island, the name of one of the proposed grantees was incorrectly represented on the subdivision map. The map states that Parcel A, consisting of 24, 477 square feet, is "to be conveyed to Richard A. and Dorothea E. Howard. " Although the adjoining land to the east is owned by the above parties, the parcel is being sold to Richard A. and Martha Howard. Therefore , the map should read: "to be conveyed to Richard A. and Martha Howard. " This change is necessitated by the fact that Dorothea E. Howard passed away approximately four years prior to the drafting of this map and that Richard A. Howard is presently married to Martha Howard. It is of primary concern to the Howards that this change in designation of the property be enacted at the forthcoming Planning Board meeting to be held on October 19, 1981, and that a resolution be drafted con- firming that the change has been made upon the map held in your offices. DESCRIPTION OF ACTION The minor subdivision of Smith, Carter, Blanchard is a three-lot residential subdivision located at Fishers Island. The project has been determined not to have a significant effect on the environment for the following reasons: An environmental assessment has been submitted which indicated that no significant adverse effects to the environment were . likely to occur should the project be implemented as planned. Because it is over 300 feet from tidal wetlands comments were not solicited from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The Department of Health Services commented that it would need additional information concerning the proposed method of sewage disposal and water supply. Residences are not proposed to be placed on the newly formed lots but building permits would not be issued without prior approval . The project will meet all the requirements of the Code of the Town of Southold Subdivision of Land Regulations .
