OUTLINE OF PROCEDURES FOR
MINOR SUBDIVISIONS
1 . Submit application and surveys with all other required information
2 . Placed on agenda for the Board to review and set for a field
inspection.
3 . Board to make a field inspection
4 . Placed on agenda, Board to make recommendations or take action on
sketch plan.
5 . If sketch plan approval granted, six copies of final map are submitte
Board declares itself lead agency, (State Environmental Quality
Review Act) and grants negative declaration.
6 . Planning Board makes referrals to County Planning Commission.
7 . Applicant applies to the Suffolk County Health Department.
8 . When applicant receives approval from -the Health Department, three
surveys with their endorsement submitted to Planning Board.
9 . Public hearing is set.
10. Public hearing, then within 45 days Board makes final determination.

RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board hereby
adopts the following policy with regard to the
construction of minor subdivision roads:
All roads shall be constructed in accordance
with the Specifications for Roads-and
Drainage as per the Town' s Highway
Specifications Section (A108) . This
includes naming all roads, installation of
all utilities (LILCO, telephone, and cable
TV) and bond, letter of credit or passbook
to guarantee completion of improvements.
The Planning Board may reduce the width to
20 ' if in its judgement the road cannot
physically be extended to service future
subdivisions or additional lots in excess
of a maximum of 4 lots.

The Planning Board has discussed your concerns about changing
the road layout in accordance with the adjacent subdivision and
has the following comments .
The subdivision should be designed so as to allow access in the
future over the adjoining subdivision owned by Daniel Marcucci . To
accomplish this , the Board would like you to change your road layout
as shown on the enclosed map. The road, which will have temporary
access to the Main Road until the construction of the road on the
Marcucci property, will have to be constructed to Town standards.
Future access will then be by the Marcucci road only.

Sketch plan approval is conditional upon submission of
Health Department approval (Article 6) . If such approval is not
received within six( 6) months, the Planning Board approval of
