DATE: June 8, 2000
The Planning Board reviewed the proposed addition of two 80'by 250'storage buildings
at the above-referenced site at its work session on June 5s.
The degree of excavation and regrading that is proposed and its intrusion into the
Residential zoning district, along with the size of the proposed structures and the close /
proximity to the waterfront: all were factors in the Board's decision that an amended site ✓
plan be required for this proposal.
Please direct the applicant to secure an appointment with Robert Kassner to review the
site plan requirements at his earliest convenience.

Dear Sir,
At the present time the alarm system for outside subscribers to the
Mattituck Fire Department is experiencing some problems that will take time
to rectify, therefore it would be impossible to incorporate your facility
into it until the problem is corrected.
The Mattituck School is presently the only outside alarm system installed
here and we are monitoring this system to locate the problems.
Be advised that we will notify you promptly when we can accomodate you
and we will pump directly from the Inlet if necessary at an alarm.
Cordially, t

Dear Mr. Ahlers:
This project has been reviewed and field inspected by our staff. Staff ob-
jected to extending the building as close as 30' to the high marsh. The
inspector discussed his concerns with the owner at the site and it appears
the owner is willing to reduce the proposed addition to 180' X 40' . This
will place the storage building a minimum of 45' landward of the high marsh.
It was also requested that gutters and leaders and cesspool rings be used to
handle runoff from the building. The volume of the cesspool rings should be
of a size to return a storm of a once in 10 year intensity .
Please discuss this with the owner and submit new plans to depict these
changes.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (516) 751-7900.
