HomeMy WebLinkAbout1000-122.-6-20Southold Town Plan~ ~oard -10- ~i~ ~oeptember 26, 1970 Vote of the Board: Ayes:-Messrs: Wickham, Moisa, Coyle, Grebe° Raynor · Mr. Rudolph Melk a/c Southold Associates presented the Planning Board with a preliminary site plan for proposed shopping center to be known as "Bohack Village", to be located at N/S Main Road, across from Frank Murphy Garden Center, Mattituck, New York° The Bohack store will contain 20,000Sqo ft. of sales area, and there will be several small satellite stores with a total of .5,000Sqo ft. of sales area. The plan showed 411 parking stalls, the Imin'imum requirement for the area would be 250. Ail drainage will ~e taken care of on the premises by means of 2 ring pools, there w~ll be one (1) leach-- ing pool for each 5,000sq. fro of roof area.~ minimum setback from the Main Road at any point is 294 feet. Board was agree- able to granting preliminary~o~ t~et~ ~i~u~ ~ this site plan. The Board advised Mr. t 1 a to present the plan to the Labor Dept., the Health Dept.,iand the State High- way Dept. for their approval. On motion by Mro Moisa~ seconded by Mro Wickham, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning ~oard grant preliminary approval to the lay-out of the sit~ plan for proposed shopp.ing center to be known as "Boha~ village", located at north side of Main Road, Mattituck~!New York. David Horton & Robert Horton presented th~ Planning Board with preliminary map o~fT_th..e.~roposed.subdiv~s%°n to be_k~.c~.~ as "Peconic Homes~#~o~~"~a-~c south side of ~aln Road, New York. The map showed 8 lots, all containing at least 40,000 sqo ft. of area, and proposed 50 ft. road wi~ 100fto turn-around at southerly end° Howard Terry informed the ~oard That the Supto of Highways has inspected the map and will se~d a letter of approval on it° David Horton requested that ~e Board grant preliminary approval to the lay-out of this s~bdivision as presented. The Board advised Mr. Horton thatlthe next step is to contact the State Highway Dept. in reference to the grade, and the curb & gutter requirements at the entrance on the Main Road, before they cut the road through. On motion by Mr. wickham, seconded by Mr~ Raynor, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning!Board grant p=eliminary approval to the lay-out of the proposed subdivision CHECKED BY: NALD L.
