Dear Melissa:
Enclosed is a revised print of the proposed subdivision, in
which Lot 2 has been increased to 18 acres. This will bring the
dividing lina batween Lots 1 and 2 on Elijah's Lane to
approximately the 12th row of vines North of the farmroad which
leads out to Elijah's Lane. As tha vines ara now unproductive at
this point and will require replacement, placing the division
line at this location will not disrupt any current farming
operation.
We hava consulted with several authorities in the
agricultural industry, and have been advised that a small farm
parcel of the size proposed for Lot 2 is very marketabla and
productive for agricultural purposes. It will also make the use
of this parcel more attractive for agricultural than residential
usage, thereby promoting a more extensive agricultural use of the

As to Lot ,�, applicatione have been made to both the Town of
Southold and Suffolk County for sale of tha development rights to
most of the lot. Wa are advised that due to prior demands on
funding, an offer will not be immediately forthcoming, but that
the parcel, because of its size and location, is very attractive
for development rights purchase and will be given favorable
consideration in the next phase.
