Youngs Avenue, Southold Zoning District: Light Industrial (LI) SCTM9 1000-60-1-6 Dear Mr. Matz: This letter will confirm your telephone conversation of July 2, 1992, with staff member Robert Kassner regarding the above referenced property. You had indicated the following changes would be made to your submission of June 17, 1992: The northernmost tank will be moved in line with the other three tanks so that there is sufficient space to back a truck out of the garage. Any possible outdoor lighting will be shown on the plan. The lighting will be shielded to the premises. Street trees and shrubs will be planted along the south side of the property facing the railroad tracks, YoungsAvenue, and between Burts'Reliable and Agway. 4. Upon review of your letter dated June 1, 1992, there seems to be some confusion with regard to the proposed action. Burt's Reliable, Inc. desires to continue the use of the former Goldsmith and Tuthill oil facility. They are proposing the construction of two 25,000 gallon tanks for the storage of No. 2 fuel oil and two 20,000 gallon tanks for the storage of diesel fuel and kerosene. No other structures are proposed. The 2,400 square-foot office and storage building referenced in your letter are structures currently existing on the subject property. An amended site survey and preliminary site plan have been enclosed to clarify this matter. Based on this information, we are again requesting a waiver from the site plan approval requirements set forth under Section 100-141 B(1) of the Town Code. Should you require any additional information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (516) 349-1010. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
