Whitney Booth Calves Neck Road Southold, New York 11971 Dear Mr. Booth: I have the following in my minutes from the meeting of January 10, 1977. Mr. Lawrence Tuthill, Town Engineer, made the following recommendations which are to be followed. 1. That the roads be layed out so that there are no reverse curves or compound curves and 200 foot tangents between curves. That a connection to the property of Bittner *Mt'1 de in the vicinity of lot no. 10. 3. That a recharge basin be included. Mr. Tuthill is to be contacted by Mr. Booth to de*ermine where the recharge basin should be located. Any ponding in the subdivision should be shown on the map. There should be more buildable area in no. 12. Yours truly, Muriel Brush, Secretary Southold Town Planning Board SOUTHOLD TOWN CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL Southold, N. Y. March 21 , 1977 Southold Town Planning Board Southold, N.Y. 11971 Members of the Board; The C.A.C. members inspected the site of Edward C. Booth and others on the north side of Soundview Avenue on Saturday, March 19, 1977. Although several small pools of fresh water were found, none would be classified as fresh water wetlands. A major portion of the site constitutes a natural drainage and recharge area. Major alterations to the site of the turnaround area could possibly lead to significant erosive and drainage problems. We would further submit that the fragile ecology of the dune bluff and north of it should not be altered and would not be suitable for extensive recreation. If our group may be of any further assistance in the future please do not hesitate to call upon us. Sincerely, Q, Frank A. Kuawsk Jr. Chairman C.A.C. M i I j February 15, 1977 i I Mr. Frank A. Kujawski, Jr. i Grand Avenue j Mattituck, New York 11952 Dear Frank: I am enclosing a sketch plan of the cluster develop- ment of Edward C. Booth and others located in Southold. There was a question about a pond located on the property. Mr. Booth told us that it is wet sometimes and dry sometimes. We would appreciate your determination as to whether this would be considered wetlands or not. If you need help in locating the exact spot this property is, stop in the office and we can go over the overall map.
