Vote of the Board: Ayes: Messrs. Wickham, Moisa, Raynor and Coyle. Mr. Moisa made a motion, seconded by Mr. Coyle and carried that the meeting be adjourned at ll:50. Respe~tfull~ submitted, John Wickham, Chairman cary November 30, 1972 Colgate Design Corp. 90 Mill Road Freeport, New York 11520 Attn: Mr. John M. Amato Gentlemen: This is to advise you that the following resolution was passed by the Southold Town Planning Board at a regular meeting on November 29, 1972: "IT WAS RESOLVED that the site plan for 7-11 Store at Main Road, Cutchogue, New York, for Colgate Design Corp. be approved with the following changes: 1. Require paved driveway to service rear of building, preferably on east side. 2. Sign must be at least five (5) feet from property line. 3. Plan~ing schedule, or list of plants and shrubs proposed to be used, must be submitted. Chain link fence, same as on north and west sides, required on east side by gas station. Double total storm water drainage for four (4) inches in 24 hours." Very sincerely, John Wickham, Chairman Southold Town Planning Board JW:tle P.S. Receipt for $25 fee is enclosed. 'May 26, 1976 Mr. John M. Amato Colgate DeSign Corporation 90 Mill Road Freeport, New York 11520 DearMr. Amato: The resolution by the Southold Town Planning Board on May 20, 197~ giving site plan approval for the 7 - 11 Store in Cutcho~..,~provided for a two-year review of this propex-by. The review has been made and the property has been found to be satisfactory with the exception of dead Christmas trees on each side which should be removed. Yours truly, Murtel Brush, Secretary June 19, 197~ Mr. Howard Terry, Building Inspector Town Clerk's Office Southold, New YOrk 11971 Dear Mr. Terry: I have inspected the property of the 7-11 Store in Cutchogue and find the plantings in order and the fence constructed as per recommendations of my last letter. I find that the planting, fence, etc. are all satisfactory. Yours truly, JWlm~ John Wickham, Chairman Southold Town Planning Board May 22, ~ 1974 Mr. Howard Terry, Building Inspector Town Clerk's Office Southold,, New York 11971 Dear Ne. Terry: The Planning Board has approved the site plan of the 7 - 11 Store at Cutchogue on May 20, 1974 and authorized the Chairman to sign it subject to a review in two years, which has been done. The Planning Board recognizes that there are two deviations from this plan. First, there are woodchip planting areas instead of the grass specified. Secondly, the chain link fence has not yet been installed. We feel that proper maintenance of this property is very important and, therefore, are willing to approve it with the two year review. I have personally inspected the property and have the follow- ing comments. The planting of small shrubs was not well done. They are generally planted too high and one is not planted at all, Just set in a hole. As regards the chain link fence it seems to me that the existing chain link fence on the north and west sides is adequate. It will be necessary to have a chain link fence erected along the Danowski and Kull line. In consultation with~e Mr. Kull, it is our opinion that at the present time the new chain link fence should commence where Kull's concrete planting area terminates some thirty or fifty feet from the street line and run from there to the back line a distance of ap~roximately 190 feet. It is both Mr. Kull's thought and mine that maintenance of plantings and keeping it tidy are more important than the type of fence. The Planning Board for this reason has provided for a future review. Building Inspector Page Two Because of thesefactors, I would like to recommend that the Building Inspector issue a temporary Certificate of Occupancy for twenty or thirtydays ln which time the occupants must have the fence erected and the planting rechecked. Very sincerely, JW/mb cc: Colgate Design Corp.
