Beebe New Suffolk Avenue Cutchogue, New York 11935 July 6, 1983 JUL 11 RECD Mr* Henry Raynor, Chairman & Southold Town Planning Board Southold Town Hall Main Road Southold , New York 11971 Gentlemen: I am the owner of a 30 acre tract of woodland in Cutchogue which lies between the west side of Depot Lane and is bounded on the west side by Hargrave Vineyards and north by the railroad. The only road frontage is a 50 ft. wide strip to Depot Lane. In the year 1978 I came to the Planning Board to ask approval for a subdivision of 1 acre lots. After working with Young & Young Surveyors and the Planning Board, it became apparent that the cost to complete the improvements as desired by the Planning Board was more than I was able to commit at that time. I therefore, put the project on a hold status and listed the property for sale with several real estate brokers in town. There have been no buyers for this project. During that time I also had to buy out 2 partners on this property. Now that the 2 acre zoning has come into law, my property will be even less desirable. Therefore, I request the Planning Board to recognize my investment in preparing plot plans, surveys , etc* and the length of time prior to 2 acre zoning that I attempted to sub- divide this parcel and put my subdivision plan on the exempt list of subdivisions.
