RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board accept Inspector John Davis' report No. 356 with regard to the approval of the access road within the minor subdivision of Dr. Meyer Rosenberg located at peconic. The Planning Board dOESn't request compliance with the recommendation for a stop sign. Please excuse for our delay in responding. As near as I can ascertain, this access road appears to be a private road, and, accordingly, the Vehicle and Traffic Law does not apply to such road and, therefore, the Planning Board cannot require traffic signs which will have no legality. MEYER ROSEt:BERG AT PECONIC - ACCESS ROAD COMMENTS: I made an inspection of the existing access road in the above subdivision on 4/18/84 as follows, The road is 16 ft. in width (from several measurements) and is curbed on both sides with a 4" concrete curb. It runs to the Rosenburg residence (See Map) where there is a turnaround and parking area. The road between curbs is a crowned macadam type of construction with a non-skid surface. The road from end to end is fairly level and in good condition as are the curbs. I can see no reason for any road improvement. A stop sign could be placed at Indian Neck Road for exiting traffic.
