Dear Mr. Jacobs:
It is requested that in order to expedite any Authority
water main or service installations in the Town of Southo1d, that
a blanket waiver be granted for all bond and permit fees required
for road openings.
The Authority will forward to the Highway Department a
sketch of all proposed road openings before any work has started.
It is the Authority's policy to temporarily patch all road openings
until the final restoration can be completed. The Authority will
hold back 50 percent of the total monies due the contractor who
completed the final trench paving work until we receive an approval
letter of acceptance from the Highway Superintendent.
It should be noted that during all phases of construction,
there is an Authority Inspector or Supervisor on the job site.
Thank you for continuing cooperation.
Very truly yours,
SUFFOLK COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY
