WAIVER OF EXCAVATION PERMIT
A Standing Excavation Permit is hereby issued to Cablevision with
respect to burying cable lines within the Town of Southold, provided they
abide by the rules and regulations set forth in Chapter 83, Street
Excavations, of the Code of the Town of Southold, and provided they notify
the Superintendent of Highways each time they wish to bury cable lines
within the Town of Southold.

THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED BY THE
SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MARCH 12, 1991:
WHEREAS, Cablevision has requested a waiver of the Excavation Permit
process, and seeks a standing permit; and
WHEREAS, Cablevision has agreed to contact the Highway Department each
time they wish to bury lines within the Town; and
WHEREAS, Cablevision has agreed to abide by the rules and regulations
set forth in Chapter 83, Street Excavations, of the Code of the Town of
Southold; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby grants
permission to the Town Clerk to issue a standing Excavation Permit to
Cablevision, all in accordance with the recommendation and approval of
Superintendent of Highways Jacobs.

I have forwarded this request to you the Town
Board for a waiver which I agree with. They have
agreed to comply with all regulations of the
permit.

Dear Mr. Jacobs:
Pursuant to our conversation of February 14, 1991
Cablevision is requesting (as you have suggested) a waiver from
the excavation permit process and would like to establish a
standing permit.
We understand that this permit would require us to
contact the Highway Department to notify them as to the location
of the cabl ES that we wi 11 be buryi ng. It is al so understood
that the standing permit only relieves us from applying for a
permit each time we change locations within the Town. We realize
that we must still comply with all of the regulations pertaining
to road openings and restoration of same~
Enclosed for your convenience is a list of the
locations~ together with copies of maps!, that are the 'E-ubject
of this permit.
