In conjunction with that letter, I have enclosed the current tax map for the area and a copy of the original subdivision map. I hope you find them useful. Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Re.: Road re-naming Map of the Subdivision of Cedar Beach Park at Bayview Dear Ms. Scopaz: Thank you for taking time from your busy day to speak to me today. As we discussed, there are two right-of-ways in the Map of the Subdivision of Cedar Beach Park at Bayview (copy enclosed) which have names duplicated in other areas in town. Those roads are Midway Road and Oakwood Road. Our street signs read "Midway Rd." and "Oakwood Ct.", respectively. We would prefer to keep those names, if possible. A third road, Orchard Lane (not part of our Association, but on the Subdivision map), has been split into two portions due to an abandonment (#2364) filed with Suffolk County. The westerly portion has been renamed as "West Orchard Lane". I do not believe this change has been formally filed, and this oversight obviously must also be corrected. Finally, there is a privately owned piece of property, called "Private Road", running immediately west of the property of the General Wayne Inn, which is used as a right-of- way for four (4) homes. The owner of this property is Ms. Shelby Bleifeld, a member of our organization, and she has expressed interest in having this road placed on the map for safety and identification purposes. Tax map (copy enclosed) number is #1000-89-3- 5.1. 1 am very optimistic that we will be able to rectify these problems. Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Re.: Road repair and maintenance Map of the Subdivision of Cedar Beach Park at Bayview Dear Ms. Scopaz: We are writing to request assistance in the management of the right-of-ways within the Map of the Subdivision of Cedar Beach Park at Bayview, Map No. 90, filed December 19, 1927. The members of the Association recently approved the assumption of the repair and maintenance of our right-of-ways by the Association. The roads involved are highlighted on the map enclosed, and include: - Cedar Beach Drive West - Cedar Point Drive East & West - Private Road -West Orchard Lane - Oakwood Drive - Lakeside Drive North & South - Clearview Road - Inlet Way - Midway Road - West Lake Drive, east of West Lake Inlet - Orchard Lane The costs of the repair and maintenance of the right-of-ways will be borne by equal assessment of all property owners whose property faces on to one or more of the roads highlighted on the map. For a small association, the costs of this maintenance are high, and as such would like to keep them to a minimum. Page 2 We are requesting that any building permits issued for properties adjacent to these roads be required to post a bond to repair any and all damage to the repaired roads. I will be happy to provide any documentation, legal or otherwise, we may have available that may be of assistance to you in coming to a decision regarding this matter.
