Board, Monday, July 25, 1983.
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Planning Board approve a
set-off (106-13) as designated on the map of Henry Domaleski~
dated February 1, 1972 and revised May 23, 1983, located at Southold~
wi~n a con~i~on that the 25' right-of-way be improved to the satis-
faction of the Planning Board prior to the issuance of a Building

COMMENI~:
~here is an existing one way farm road 9 ft.+- in width in the proposed 25 ft.
R.O.W., length 3081 ft. to Lot No. 1. Ih. adjacent land for most of the length
on the east side of the road im higher than the land on the west side. the map
notes the east side of the R.O.W. as a"ridg.".
~he existing road is on original ground with no evidence of other m~terial
being brought in. Also, there are deeD ruts throughout and ~ome p~rallel
sections on the west side are lower than the ruts. No conto%ms are shown on
~/ae mep, but visually lot No. 2 appears to slope from north to ~outh at a flat
minus grade. I would not anticipate any drainage ~roblems for an updated access
road.
Re~0mmendationa:
1. Remove 12" of topsoil and loam for a width of 12 ft. centered in the R.O.~.
If topsoil ~nd loam are in excess of 12", remove fc~ 12" only.
Baaed on the depth of the topsoil and loam excavation, additional fill will
have to be placed prior to a 6" bankrun course. The additional fill can be
a good grade of clean fill.
3. The 6" bankrun course (compactad) to contain 20% or more of gravel
and ].0% or more of loam.
4. Place a compacted 2" crowned top course of 3/4" stone blend on the bank rtu~.
5. Fill the low areas along the west side of the updated road.
6. Th# top course (stone blend) should be higher than the existing road
surface (about 2 to 3 inches).
