New York 11971 Telephone (516) 765-1938 PLANNING BOARD OFFICE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD Fax (516) 765-1823 August 2, 1991 Bob Calhoun, President Fishers Island Development Corporation Fishers Island, New York 06390 Dear Mr. Calhoun: Sometime in April, I met with you, Tom Dougherty, Harvey Arnoff, the Southold Town Attorney and Ken Edwards, a Planning Board member, to discuss the legal status of the subdivision map of FIDCO. At that meeting, it was agreed that the Planning Board would sign a revised, updated version of the FIDCO "open development" map, provided that map was suitable for filing with the Suffolk County Clerk's office in Riverhead. Shortly afterwards I was contacted by Richard Lark on behalf of FIDCO for further information about the County's filing requirements. However, to date, the revised subdivision map has not been received. Inasmuch as the Planning Board is constrained from processing pending land future) subdivision applications within FIDCO's holdings until this matter is resolved, it would be helpful if we knew what actions FIDCO intends to undertake with regards to its subdivision map. However, it is understood, that before on-site construction may begin, the following conditions must be met: 1. All necessary Federal, State, County and local permits must be obtained, and are the responsibility of the land owner. 2. All final construction plans, including landscaping, must be submitted to, and approved by, the FIDCO Architectural Review Committee.
