3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Swam statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system Contains less than 2/10 of I % lead.
5. Conunercial building, industrial bUilding, multiple residences and similar buildings and installations, a ceHilleale
of Code Compliance from architect or engineer responsible for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 9, 1957) non-conforming uses, or bUildings and "pre-existing" land nses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, building and unusual natural or topographic
features.
2. A properly completed application and consent to inspect signed by the applicant. If a Certificate of Occupancy is

Dear Mr. Fisher:
In reference to the above, please De advised that I, as
owner of said property, guarantee, as I discussed with you
this morning, to give you a modified system as per NFPA.
Our intention is to buy another 10,000 gallon reinforced
tank that will be installed underground tied in with the
existing system, have a compressor that pumps and will give
us the pressure required to operate this system properly.
This shall De completed prior to King Kullen finishing their
construction and opening for Dusiness.
I appreciate your cooperation and courtesy in working with
me on this project.

setsof plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e, No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.

Thank you for the cooperation during the fire in~;pection of
Key rood Supermarket in Cutchogue on July 9, 1985.
During.the inspection the following items that require
attention were noted.
1. All exit doors must remain without locks that stop the
exit of people from the store. This refer~ to the solid
metal bars that are locked into the door jambs. Any time the
store is open to the public these bars must be Qnlocked.
2. The rear east exit Cat the end of the meat counter) must
be kept unlocked while the store is open to the public. The
egress way along the east wall through the storeroom must be
kept clear so as to provide an egress to the e.it door.

3. The sprinkler system, while fed by a pump, may be taken
into consideration in determining e.it paths if a fire
department connection can be pr,:>vlded, with proper
disconnects, so to allow the fire department's generator to
power the sprinkler system In case of an emergen.cy. This
would allow the present number of e.its to suffice for the
occupancy load of the store. Without the sprinkler system
consideration an additional ..it would be required somewhere
in the southeast corner of the store. Distance traveled to
the nearest exit is the determining factor, not the occupancy
load of the store. The generator connection must have the
approval of the Chief of the Cutchogue Fire Department. The
Chief is aware of this consideration as well as the Board of
rire Commissioners. A certificate of testing and proper
functioning of the sprinkler system shall be available for
inspection by the inspecting agency.
4. Exit lights must be lighted any time that the store is
open to the public.

5. Fire e~tinguishers must b. mounted properly on the
walls. Size and type to be determined by the hazard

6. An Electrical Underwriters Certificate which is Cllrrent
and up to date shall be available for inspection by the
inspecting agency.
7. There shall be no storage within the electrical panel
rOOM. The access doors to the patleI yoom shall remaitl
clear of all obstructing materials.

clear of all obstructing materials. The sprinkler controls
shall be clearly identified as to function ~nd location.

9. Exhaust hoods in the bakery and in the deli require
automatic extinguishing systems installed as both hoods are
larger than three square feet. The hood system in the bakery
needs, in additi,;:,n, an aut.;:,matic gas cut off ,:,;:,nnected to the
e~tinguishing system.
10. Some type of venting or ceiling protection will be
necessary in the bakery as the ovens are discoloring the
ceilings above because of the heat. Also ov.n connections to
&lectricity are inaccessible. Some prevision for reaching
emergency shut offs must be provided.
