Statement of Work - 930 Marlene Lane - Mattituck. New York
As per my review, all work conforms to chapter 3 of the residential code of New York State
(January, 2003) and conforms to chapter 5 and 6 of the New York State code.
A "Man" basement entrance consists of three sections of primed 14-gauge steel bolted together
on site. The three sections include a door frame (79" h x 36" w), seven metal steps and
sidewalls and a hinged gas strut door.
There is no concrete used in the installation. That is, there are no footings, foundation or slab.
Access to the basement entrance is through the 8 x 16 cement block foundation. The interior
basement wall from the center beam to the Southwest comer of the foundation will require a
waterproof sealant as a dampness precaution.
The unit is mounted on the South side of the structure at 930 Marlene Lane, Mattituck, New
York. It is 86" in from the Southwest comer and 170" in from the Southeast comer of the
foundation. It occupies a 43" x 66" exterior space. Side yard setbacks from house to property
line are 19' (North side) and 11 \i2' (South side) equals 366" minus 66" for basement entrance
door (see sketch) equals 300" or 25'.

WHY A HIGHER EFFICIENCY RATING CAN SAVE ENERGY.
Estimated
Annual Cooling
Cost Comparisons.
If your current air
conditioner or heat pump
is more than 10 years old,
it could be operating at
lower than 8.00 SEER.
Compare the estimated
annual cooling bill of an
8.00 SEER system to that
of a new system with a
higher SEER, such as
Trane's 12.00, or 13.00.
For instance, if the annual
cooling bill of an 8.00
SEER system was $1000,
it could potentially cost
only $615 for a 13.00
SEER system, or an annual
savings of 38%. Now,
that makes dollars and
sense, doesn't it?

WHY .A MATCHED SYSTEM Is
IMPORTANT.
A heating and cooling system is
made up of individual parts. And, even
though each component is separate,
they're all designed and engineered
to work together as a system. A
perfectly balanced system is the best
way to get the highest comfort and
efficiency. When you match an XR12
air conditioner with a Trane high
efficiency gas furnace, or an XR12 heat
pump with a Trane air handler, you
can rest easy knowing you've installed
a system that can have an efficiency
rating up to 13.00 SEER
THE RIGfIT' SIZE SYSTEM
FOR YOUR COMFORT NEEDS.
When buying a home comfort system,
selecting the right size is crucial. For
instance, an air conditioner that is too
large will cool your home quickly but
you still may not feel comfortable. It
will satisfy the thermostat before it can
remove sufficient moisture from the air.
As you might expect, a system that is
too small just cannot get the job done.
Your local independent Trane Comfort
Specialist" dealer can help you
determine the right size system for
your home comfort needs with an
energy analysis of your home.

Statement oCWork - 930 Marlene Lane - Mattituck.
Side yard setbacks from house to property
line are 19' (North side) and 11 Y:.' (South side) equals 366" minus 66" for basement entrance
door (see sketch) equals 300" or 25'.
