THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED BY THE
SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY II, 1992:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes
and directs Supervisor Scott L. Harris to execute a Quit Claim Deed
between the Town of Southold and Patricia Marco to convey the abandoned
portion of Indian Neck Lane, Peconic, that extends to the southerly side
of Indian Neck Road, described on the Suffolk County Tax Map as a portion
of the parcel numbered at 1000-9-1-5.3; said parcel was abandoned by
Southold Town Board resolution no. 22 on October 23, 1990.

Re: Abandonment of Indian Neck Lane, peconic, NY
Dear Mrs. Terry and Members of the Board:
As you will recall, the Southold Town Board, as can be seen
from the enclosed copy of a Resolution dated October 23, 1990,
abandoned in favor of the adjoining landowner certain property
at Indian Neck Lane, peconic, New York. The purpose was to
allow the abutting landowner attach that part of the road to
her property and maintain it as well as to have that
additional property go on the tax rolls.
The county clerk refuses to recognize the abandonment. I have
been advised through the title company and the county clerk
that a Quitclaim Deed is necessary. Therefore, the purpose of
this letter is to request that the Town Board allow the
supervisor to convey by way of a Quitclaim Deed this property
to the abutting landowner. This approval would be greatly
appreciated. All costs will, of course, be borne by the
abutting landowner.
Thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter.

SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 23, 1990:
RESOLVED that consent is hereby given to Raymond L. Jacobs, Superintendent of
Highways of the Town of Southold, to abandon a portion of Indian Neck Lane that
extends to the southerly side of Indian Neck Road, said highway has not been
traveled or used as a highway for six and more years prior to the date hereof,
and is hereby declared abandoned pursuant to Section 205' of the Highway Law as
a highway and a public right of way. Said abandoned highway, as shown on a
certain map entitled "Survey for Patricia Marco", dated March 2, 1990, said
property is located on the Suffolk County Tax Map as a portion of the parcel
numbered at 1000-9-1-5.3 and is described as follows: All that certain plot, piece
or parcel of land situate lying and being in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County,
New York, bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the
westerly side of Indian Neck Lane where the same is intersected by the division
line between land now or formerly of John Pontino and land now or formerly of
Patricia Phillips Marco; running thence from said point of beginning northerly and
easterly through the bed of Indian Neck Lane and the bid of Indian Neck Road the
following two (2) courses and distances: (1) North 53 degrees 34 minutes 30
seconds East 12.41 feet; (2) on a curve to the left with a radius of 119.90 feet a
distance of 183.16 feet to the southerly side of Indian Neck Road; running thence
South 78 degrees 11 minutes 30 seconds West along the southerly side of Indian
Neck Road 170.31 feet to the westerly side of Indian Neck Lane; running thence
No rth 7 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds East along the westerly side of Indian Neck
Lane 116.37 feet to the point or place of beginning.
