Road at Cutchogue, I enclose herewith the dedication and release
executed by the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park District and the Nassau
Point Causeway Association dated May 15, 1975. The dedication and
release was recorded in the Suffolk County Clerk's Office on August 18,
1975 in Liber 7892 at page 579.
The dedication and release should be filed in your office with the other
instruments relative to the relocation previously sent to you.

of the State of New York, having its office at Depot Lane (No number),
Cutchogue, New York, and NASSAU POINT CAUSEWAY ASSOCIATION, a
corporation of the State of New York, having its office at Bridge Lane,
(No number), Cutchogue, New York, being the owners of and all persons
interested in lands to be taken or effected by the proposed change of location
of a portion of the Town Highway, known as Nassau Point Road, for a
valuable consideration, do hereby consent to the same and do hereby dedicate
release and convey to the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, for
highway purposes, the following lands situate, lying and being at Cutchogue,
in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, bounded and described
as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument set on the northerly line of
Nassau Point Road at the southeasterly corner of Lot No. 179 as shown and
designated on a certain map entitled "Nassau Point Club Properties, Amend d
Map A", filed in the Suffolk County Clerk's Office as Map No. 156, and
running thence the following seven courses and distances to the southerly
line of Bay A venue, to wit:
(1) North 13 degrees 04 minutes 40 seconds East 117.28 feet; thence
(2) North 18 degrees 08 minutes 00 seconds East 222.26 feet; thence
(3) North 4 degrees 58 minutes 00 seconds East 331. 07 feet; thence
(4) North 0 degrees 47 minutes 00 seconds West 277.92 feet; thence
(5) North 6 degrees 08 minutes 00 seconds West 622.09 feet; thence
(6) On a curve to the left having a radius of 275.0 feet, a distance of
300.0 feet; thence
(7) North 68 degrees 38 minutes 20 seconds West 68.68 feet to the
southerly line of Bay Avenue; thence along said southerly line of Bay Avenu
North 87 degrees 01 minutes 20 seconds East 160.74 feet; thence running
the following five courses and distances to said northerly line of Nassau
Point Road, to wit:
(1) On a curve to the right having a radius of 350.0 feet, a distance of
303.40 feet; thence
(2) South 6 degrees 08 minutes 00 seconds East 625.59 feet; thence
(3) South 0 degrees 47 minutes 00 seconds East 285.19 feet; thence

Southold from all damages by reason of the relocation of that portion of
Nassau Point Road described above and that this Dedication, Release and
Consent is made voluntarily and without the payment to the undersigned of
any sum of money by the said Town of Southold.

of New York, extending from a point in the
southerly line of Bay Avenue in a southerly
direction approximately 1700 feet.
ORDER OF
SUPERINTENDENT OF
HlGHWA YS CHANGING
LOCATION OF HIGHWA
APPLICATION having been made for the relocation of a portion of a
certain Town highway known as Nassau Point Road located at Cutchogue in
the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, extending from a point in
the southerly line of Bay Avenue in a southerly direction approximately 1700
feet, and all parties effected thereby having dedicated to the Town of Southold
the necessary land therefor and all said effected parties having released the
Town of Southold from all damages by reason of the relocation of said highway,
and the Town Board of the Town of Southold having given its consent to the
making of this order.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Raymond C. Dean, Superintendent of
Highways of the Town of Southold, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York, do hereby order
that the following described lands be laid out as a public highway of the Town
of Southold, it wit:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument set on the northerly line
of Nassau Point Road at the southeasterly corner of lot No. 179
as shown and designated on a certain map entitled "Nassau Point
Club Properties, Amended Map A, " filed in the Suffolk County
Clerk's Office as Map No. 156, and running thence the following

AND I DO FURTHER ORDER that that portion of said existing Town
highway located outside of the boundaries as above described be discontinued
and closed as a public highway of the Town of Southold with the intent and
purpose that the location of said Town highway be changed from the existing
location to the new location as shown upon a certain map hereinto annexed
and entitled "Map showing proposed relocation of a part of Nassau Point Road
at Cutchogue, Town of Southold, New York", prepared by Roderick Van TuyI,
surveyed April 3, 1975.

BOARD TO CHANGE
OF LOCATION OF
HIGHWAY
UPON READING AND FILING the Application of the Cutchogue-
New Suffolk Park District and the Nassau Point Causeway Association dated
the /5 ~ day of "77l~, 1975, and the Consent, Dedication and Release
of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park District and the Nassau Point Causeway
Association dated the /541 day of ~ 1975, and duly acknowledged
consenting that said Town highway be relocated as set forth in said Application
and dedicating and releasing the necessary lands therefor.
RESOLVED, that consent be and the same is hereby given that the
Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold make an order relocating
that portion of Nassau Point Road described in said Application, all in
accordance with the provisions of Section 171 of the Highway Law of the
State of New York.

TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD,
COUNTY OF SUFFOLK:
The undersigned, inhabitants of the Town of Southold and persons
liable to be assessed for highway taxes therein, do hereby apply to you to
relocate a portion of the highway in the Town of Southold known as Nassau
Point Road extending southerly from the southerly line of Bay Avenue across
Nassau Point Causeway to Nassau Point, so that said highway shall extend
as follows:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument set on the northerly line
of Nassau Point Road at the southeasterly corner of lot No. 179
as shown and designated on a certain map entitled "Nassau Point
Club Properties, Amended Map A, " filed in the Suffolk County
Clerk's Office as Map No. 156, and running thence the following

Hereinto annexed and made a part hereof is a certain map entitled
"Map showing proposed relocation of a part of Nassau Point Road at Cutchogue,
Town of Southold, New York", prepared by Roderick Van Tuyl, licensed land
surveyors, surveyed April 3, 1975, which said map shows the proposed new
location of said highway.
The proposed alteration of the said Town highway passes through the
lands of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park District and the Nassau Point
Causeway Association, the applicants herein.
