Dear Albert:
Relative to the above matter, I enclose herewith original Application
to Discontinue Town Highway executed by Edith M. Terry and Susan
H. Terry, together with Consent of the Town Board and Order of
the Superintendent of Highways approving the same. The Release
from the above persons to the Town of Southold has been sent to the
County Clerk for recording, and it will be sent to you as soon as it
is returned to me.
The original dedication papers of Jockey Creek Drive which you sent
to me for use in this matter were returned to you at the Town Board
meeting of July 12, 1966.

known as "JOCKEY CREER DRIVE" located at Southold, in the Town of
Southold, and more particularly hereinafter described, for a valuable

said Town highway known as "JOCKEY CREEK DRIVE", to wit:
ALL those certain tracts or parcels of land known as
portions of Jockey Creek Drive, located at Southold, in the
Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, being bounded
and described as follows:
Parcell
BEGINNING at a point on the southerly line of Jockey
Creek Drive, which point is 372.79 feet westerly along said
southerly line of Jockey Creek Drive from the westerly line
of Oaklawn Avenue, said point of beginning being the north-
westerly corner of land now or formerly of Clasing; from
said point of beginning running thence along said land of
Clasing, South 9 degrees 35 minutes 30 seconds West, 25.02
feet to a concrete monument; thence along land of Edith M.
Terry and Susan H. Terry, two courses as follows:
(1) North 77 degrees 46 minutes 50 seconds West, 100.0
feet; thence
(2) North 9 degrees 35 minutes 30 seconds East, 25.02
feet to a monument on said southerly line of Jockey Creek
Drive; running thence South 77 degrees 46 minutes 50 seconds
West, 100.0 feet to the point or place of beginning.
SUBJECT to and reserving to the Town of Southold a
10-foot drainage easement across the easterly end of the
above described pl?emises for highway drainage purposes

for the discontinuance of portions of a certain Town highway located at
Southold, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, said Town
highway being known as "JOCKEY CREEK DRIVE", and all parties affected
thereby having released the Town of Southold from all damages by reason
of the discontinuance of said highway through the parcels of land hereinafter
described as a Town highway, and the Town Board of the Town of South old
having made its consent to the making of this Order,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, RAYMOND C. DEAN, Town Superintendent
of Highways of the Town of Southold, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York, do hereby order
those portions of said existing highway consisting of land hereinafter des-
cribed to be discontinued and closed as a public highway of the said Town of
Southold. The lands to be discontinued for highway use are the following,
to wit:
