The meeting began at 7:10 p.m. with four LPC members present. Applications: ?? C&D REALTY PROPERTY SCTM # 1000-113-4-1 Location: 3640 Cox Neck Rd, Mattituck Total Acreage: 0.75 acres (GIS 0.8 acres) Zoned: R-40 FWet: 0 acre MWet: 0.68 acre CPF: Yes Reviewed status. John Sepenoski has chosen to abstain from voting on any motions made regarding this application. No quorum at beginning of meeting for a motion to purchase. This application will be discussed again at next LPC meeting. Discussed Ray Huntington’s e-mail re: proposed resolution to Town Board. Since this lot is considered buildable by other Town Departments, LPC not in favor of resolution suggested by Ray Huntington. EXECUTIVE SESSION. The Members entered into ?? MANOR GROVE PROPERTY SCTM # 1000-53-1-1.2 Location: 68775 Route 25, Greenport Total Acreage: 10.38 acres (GIS) Zoned: R-80/LB (3.39 acres) FWet: 6.65 acres CPF: Yes SCTM # 1000-53-1-1.3 Location: 650 Albertson La, Greenport Total Acreage: 19.1 acres (GIS) Zoned: R-80/LB (0.79 acre) FWet: 10.66 acres CPF: Yes Reviewed appraisal and status of offer. Randy Parsons of The Nature Conservancy gave overall update re: Pipes Cove Area. LPC and Randy then discussed appraisals for property and possible use of house for affordable housing. MOTION made by Ray Blum, seconded by Craig Arm, to authorize Randy Parsons to negotiate purchase on behalf of Town for open space purposes with house lot to be purchased by North Fork Housing Alliance. Motion carried: 5/0 ?? WICKHAM PROPERTY (Estate of) SCTM #: 1000-101-1-8.1 Location: 15325 County Rd 48, Cutchogue Total Acreage: 31.9 acres (GIS 31.51 acres) Subdividable: Yes Zoned: AC FWet/MWet: 0 CPF: Yes Reviewed appraisal. MOTION made by John Sepenoski, seconded by Michelle Zaloom, to direct Melissa Spiro to present a purchase offer to Gail Wickham for the purchase of fee title on the entire property for open space purposes. Motion carried: 5/0. END OF EXECUTIVE SESSION Inquiries: ?? GOERLER PROPERTY SCTM #: 1000-96-2-11 Location: 3975 Cox Lane, Cutchogue Total PDR Acreage: 9.22 acres Zoned: AC Request for ag storage building within existing development rights easement. LPC reviewed letter describing proposed building location. MOTION made by Ray Blum, seconded by Craig Arm, to approve request as described in letter for ag barn. Motion carried: 5/0. General: ?? Federal Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program Melissa gave update on status of awarded State grant for Peter Harbes acquisition. State is capping amount at amount outlined in project budget ($32,000/acre) when acquisition was $55,000/acre; therefore, Town will not be able to request re-imbursement for awarded amount of $1,200,000. ?? Outreach Melissa discussed outreach with LPC members. Members were each asked to contact several landowners to see if landowners are aware of preservation programs and their interest in participating in such programs. Information packets prepared by Melissa and Melanie on several farm parcels adjacent to existing preserved properties were handed out to individual LPC members for outreach purposes. EXECUTIVE SESSION Re-entered into ?? Melissa Spiro’s status report [executive session – status of offers] Confidential status report handed out and update given on a few of the projects.
