The meeting began at 7:10 p.m. with four LPC members present.

John Sepenoski has chosen to abstain from voting on any motions made
regarding this application. No quorum at beginning of meeting for a motion to
purchase. This application will be discussed again at next LPC meeting.
Discussed Ray Huntington’s e-mail re: proposed resolution to Town Board. Since
this lot is considered buildable by other Town Departments, LPC not in favor of
resolution suggested by Ray Huntington.

Randy Parsons of The Nature Conservancy gave overall update re: Pipes Cove
Area. LPC and Randy then discussed appraisals for property and possible use of
house for affordable housing.

made by Ray Blum, seconded by Craig Arm, to authorize Randy
Parsons to negotiate purchase on behalf of Town for open space purposes with
house lot to be purchased by North Fork Housing Alliance.

Federal Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program
Melissa gave update on status of awarded State grant for Peter Harbes
acquisition. State is capping amount at amount outlined in project budget
($32,000/acre) when acquisition was $55,000/acre; therefore, Town will not be
able to request re-imbursement for awarded amount of $1,200,000.

Outreach
Melissa discussed outreach with LPC members. Members were each asked to
contact several landowners to see if landowners are aware of preservation
programs and their interest in participating in such programs. Information packets
prepared by Melissa and Melanie on several farm parcels adjacent to existing
preserved properties were handed out to individual LPC members for outreach
purposes.
