Nunnakoma waters Association eel o Urgent 0" For Revi_ D PI...._ Comment 0 PI__ R....y o Please R~I_ . Comments= AI. In 1994. the DEC issued a permit to the Nunnakama Walern Association (copy of perm~ 10 fellOW) for a "canmunity dock" and I assume the Tr1.Istees issued a similar approval. Although no dredging was authorized at that time. the Association is currently interested in obtaining permits to dredge some shoaled areas that are increasingly interfering with previously safe and reliable navigational pathways to and from the dock. Though these areas are located in olosa proximity to the larger portion of Corey Creek that I understand is dredged by Suffolk County, at lees! some portion of the proposed dredging would be considered "neW' dredging. Therefore, it was my suggestion to the Association Board Members that we meet with Ihe Trustees or at least yourself and Chris Arfsten cI the DEC prior to submitling applications. and Chris has indicated that he would attend such a meeting. Therefore, would you kindly advise me whether you and/or other Board membern would be able to attend a "pre. application conference" with myself, Association representatives, and Chris Arfslen on any of the following days and times during low tide: Monday, Sept. 8'h @4:15PM: Monday, September 15th @ 8:40AM; Tuesday, September 16'" @ 9:25AM; or Wednesday, September 1tt'@ 10:15AM? We wculd have the proposed dredge areas slaked out prior to Ihe meeting date so that you can clearty identify and assess the Association's proposal. I thank you for your attention to my request and look forward to your reply, Robert E. Herrmann Coastal Management Specialist En-Coll$Ultanlll, Inc.
