FOR YOUR INFORMATION
Deed between George J, Naugles and Town of Southold dated May 8, 1937
pertaining to property at Mattituck Creek on the easterly side of
Old Mill Road reads in part:
This grant is made and accepted subject to the following
conditional limitations which are part of the consideration therefor:
(a) That the Town of Southold will keep said premises and bulkhead
, at all times in good repair,
,
(b) That the Town of Southo1d will not allow said premises to be
used by any craft other than Drivate pleasure boats,
(c) It is expressly understood and agreed th~t should that
portion of Old Mill Road running through the property of the Darty
of the first part (George J, Naugles) ever be abandoned as a public
hj~ghway , then the right, title and interest hereby granted to said
Town of Southold shall cease and determine and the title hereby
granted shall thereupon revert to the party of the first part, his
heirs or assigns who shall thereupon be entitled to reenter upon said
premises and repossess the same,
