Dear Mr. Martocchia:
I do not know if you ever noticed, but there is no sign
of any kind marking the entrance to the hamlet of Southold,
either on Route 25 or on the North Road.
When it is necessary to give instructions to people as to
location of Southold, we have to give them Peconic as a refer-
ence point, since Peconic does have a sign.
What is even more confusing, is that there is a sign indicating
the Towu of Southold, which sign is located in Laurel.
I think th~ we should have a nice sign, possibly in Triangle
Park, with the founding date.
If there are no funds available, I would be willing to pay
for such a sign, provided that I can put in small letters at
the bottom '%rected by Arthur J. Sharp Realty".
I think s~ething should be done before the summer comes. What
think yo~
CordialS,
Arthur J. Sharp
