This notice is issued pursuant to Part 617 of the implementing regulations pertaining to
Article 8 (State Environmental Quality Review Act) of the Environmental Law.
The Southold Town Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed
action described below will not have a significant effect on the environment and a Draft
Environmental Impact Statement will not be prepared.

Description of Action: The proposed action involves a new 2,940 sq. ft. building on a 3.1 acre
parcel. The proposed building will replace the existing building. The new building will be utilized
for equipment storage, office, bathroom facility and kitchen. The proposed building will be
located approximately +1- 200' from the Great Peconic Bay in the R-40 Zoning District.
Reasons Supporting This Determination:
An Environmental Assessment Form has been submitted and reviewed, and it was determined
that no significant adverse effects to the environment were likely to occur should the project be
implemented as planned.
There has not been any correspondence received from the Town of South old Trustees or
South old Town Board in the allotted time. Therefore, it is assumed that there are no comments
or objections from these agencies.

Review Act-SEQRA) of the Environmental Conservation Law and 6 NYCRR Part 617

use will continue in the same manner and this new building will enhance the Park
District.

The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey dated July I, 1998 determined that
the building to be out of the Wetland Jurisdiction under Chapter 97 of the Town Wetland Code
and Chapter 37 of the Town Code, Coastal Erosion.
However any activity within 100' of the Wetland line and/or seaward ofthe Coastal Erosion
Hazard Line, would require action from this office.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.
