WHEREAS, En-Consultants, Inc. on behalf of Adelaide Knowles applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated October 31, 2003 WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on November 19th, 2003 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, 2 WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code. WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, Safety and general welfare of the people of the town. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees Approved the Wetland Permit for ADELAIDE KNOWLES to replace within 18" and raise 6" approximately 51 linear feet of existing timber bulkhead that the 20 westerly feet of bulkhead be removed that faces the new bulkhead and adjacent bulkhead to the west can be tied together, without creating a step-out between the two structures at the shared property line 20 feet westerly section of new bulkhead will be angled slightly to tie into the 31 foot easterly section of bulkhead as per plans revised dated 12/3/03 Fee must be paid, if applicable and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Consequently, the 20-foot westerly section of new bulkhead will be angled slightly to tie into the 31-foot easterly section of new bulkhead, which is to be constructed within 18 inches of the existing bulkhead to remain, as originally proposed. Regarding a revised project description, the project will in effect remain a "replacement within 18 inches" of approximately 51 feet of bulkhead, as nowhere will the face of the new bulkhead be located mom than 18 inches seaward of the face of the existing bulkhead. The only change is that 20 of the approximately 51 feet of existing bulkhead will be removed and 31 feet will be left in place as originally proposed. By copy of this letter and revised plans, I am notifying the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation of your requested change and asking that they issue their Tidal Wetlands Permit pursuant to this revised plan. Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971-0959 At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Monday, November 17, 2003, the following recommendation was made: Moved by Don Wilder, seconded by Tom Schlichter, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH STIPULATIONS of the Wetland Permit application of ADELAIDE KNOWLES to replace (within 18") and raise 6" approx. 51 linear ft. of existing timber bulkhead and backfill with approx. 15 cy. of clean sand fill to be trucked in from an upland source. Existing stairs and deck to be removed and replaced (inkind/inplace), as necessitated by bulkhead construction. Located: 2152 Park Ave., Mattituck.
