Project Description: Construct a first floor addition on the landward side of the
existing dwelling and construct a second floor addition, with the condition that the
bluff is planted and inspected, and all as depicted on the plan received on March
14,2005.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code. The
issuance of the Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated in the
project description.
Special Conditions: Planting of bluff.
If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 97 of the South old Town Code, a

Home Office Extension - First Floor
Construction of the approved first floor addition on the landward side of the existing dwelling and the
second floor addition is currently on the way. The owners are pleased with the progress, and they asked
me recently if it might be possible to enlarge the first floor home office modestly by 'pushing' the exterior
wall out by 5' .6" - before the construction will come to an end.
The proposed addition will increase the floor area by 81.0 SF. A small terrace will be created on the 2nd
floor above the addition and a crawl space under the proposed addition. The foundation walls will be
executed in masonry.
Since the proposed construction will stay more than 10 feet behind the existing footprint of the main
house and due to the relatively modest change they are requesting. the owners hope that the Board of
Town Trustees will grant them an administrative amendment of the existing permit.
