The Store and Forward Expansion Project is an initiative aimed at assisting local law enforcement agencies in their acquisition and implementation of livescan or cardscan technology for the electronic capture and transmission of arrest fingerprints, data and mugshots to DCJS. This grant award is being offered to your locality pursuant to the ~003/2004 State budget which appropriated Federal Fiscal Year 2003 Edward Byme Memorial State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance Program funds. The award will be made to the Town of Southold for use by Southold Town Police Department to support participation in the Store and Forward Expansion Project under the program purpose area authorized by Congress, as listed below. The specific Edward Byme Memorial Program purpose area and the amount of the award are as follows: Criminal Justice Records Improvement Program - $30,565 A Grant Award Information Sheet, along with an Award Transmission Form. is attached to provide you with additional details regarding this award and your general approved budget. DCJS staff will be in contact with you or the implementing agency if any additional information is needed to begin the grant contracting process. A contract will be provided by DCJS for your review and signature in the near future.
