It is essential that this office be promptly advised of the date of completion. Copies of a Completion Notice have been enclosed for this purpose. STATE OF NEW YORK DEPARTMENT OF TRA ORTATION / 1220 WASHINGTON AVENUE · STATE CAMPUS ALBANY, NEW YORK 12226 January 7, 1969 Suffolk/Southold KLI - Town Board Town of Southold Suffolk County Gentlemen: This letter further refers to ~he joint request from the Town Board and the Suffolk County Commissioner of Public Works for a lower speed restriction within the Eastern S~ores Development area in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County. Our field study has been cmmpleted and the reports have been received and evaluated. Based on our findings determined by the investigation we are of the opinion that a 30 MPH speed limit within the above mentioned area is warranted. However, before we may proceed to establish the necessary regulations we suggest you review the enclosed area description, complete the form and obtain the endorsement of the Suffolk County Commissioner of Public Works.
