Dear Mr. Bartha:
On May 9, 2000 1 faxed a TE9A form to you for your signature to conduct a traffic study
on Oaklawn Avenue, Southold, New York. There should have been another TE9A for a
traffic study at North Bayview Road/Gog~~ Creek, Southold to establish a lower speed limit as
described in the attached letter from a resident in the area. I have not heard anything from
either your department or the NYS DOT.

Gentlemen:
The Town Board of the Town of Southold by a resolution adopted on
Fe and the Commissioner of Suffolk County Department of
Public Works hereby request the Department of Transportation, pursuant to
Section 1622.1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, to establish a lower maximum
speed at which vehicles may proceed on
North Bayyiew Road in the vicinity of Goose Creek, Southold, New York
North Bayview Road
County Road
Town Highways
between Goose Creek Lane and Ships Drive, Southold
Upon receipt of notice that the regulation herein requested has been
established, the Town of Southold will provide, install and maintain signs
in accordance with the Vehicle and Traffic Law and conforming to the
Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices of the Department of
Transportation.

Board, adopted at a regular meeting held on February 1, 2000, requesting
you to conduct a traffic survey in the vicinity of North Bayview Road and
Goose Creek Lane, Southold, New York for the purpose of lowering the speed
