Supplemental A~rsement with To A~eement to ?off cfm a Federal Safer Cff-System Roads Project This Supplemental Agreement made this 7th day of December 1982 , pursuant to Section 80 of the Highway L~w, Section 219 of Title 23 United States Ccde and Budget Rills applicable thereto, by and between The People of the Stats of New York (hereinafter referred to as "State"), acting by and through the Commissioner of Transportation (hereinafter referred to as "Commissioner"), and the Town of Southold (hereinafter referred to as "Municipality"~, acting by and thrcugh ~ ~ III Supervisor Willie~n R. ~'e~l,, having his prinqipal office at Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York 11971 WITNESSETH: WHF~R~.S, by an Agreezent dated , the State and the Municipa!it entered into an Agreement for the ~nicipality to perform a Federal-aid off-system roads project on the road identified as Nev~ ~v~e\~ ~¥e~ in connection with the Federal-Aid Safer Cff-System Roads Program; and WHEP~L~S, in accordance with Schedule A thereof requires that the State shall not be obligated to reimburse the Municipality in excess of ~ O~O. ~ O unless a Supplemental Agreement is made therefore: and WHERL~S, additional work not contemplated by the original Agreement is being added in connection with the abcve subject project that would increase the cost thereof and for which reimbursement may be made to the Municipality fcr the Federal and State shares of such additicnal work: and WH~--EAS, it has been found necessary to enter into a Supplemental Agreement in relation to adding this additional work to the project: and ~R~_RE;.S, it has been found necessary to enter into a Supplemental Agreement in relation to the reimbursement of the Federal and State shares of the costs by the State to the Municipality with respect to such additicnal work for an estimated total cost of such added work of~V~ea~'Uh~A.S~v~ NCW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the benefits moving to each of the parties hereto, they do mutually a~ee as follows: ~ticle i. ~tic!e i of said A~eement ~ted ,and identified as ~~ shall be amended by adding to the (Comptroller's Contract general description of the work the following: Article 2.
