Re: CR 48, Middle goad in the Vicinity of Queens Street
Dear Mr. Loeb:
I am in receipt of your August IS, 2000 correspondence to Lorraine Hickey of our Highway
Maintenance Division regarding flooding on the above referenced roadway. Please be advised of the
following actions taken by this Department:
I. The Highway Maintenance Division has installed additional drainage facilities at
this location which, in the short term, will dramatically mitigate flooding at this
location.
2. Under Capital Program 5518, Middle goad will be reconstructed from Horton Lane
to NYS Route 25 in Greenport. This project will provide for the construction of a
positive drainage system composed of interconnected catch basins with discharge
into a recharge basin.
It is my understanding that you have been in contact with Ms. Hickey iu regard to filing a
claim.
