G~T-~I~ ~I~, P~ 2, ~ ~. 8380 ~ta~lation of e~.le Raili~ ~ F~ on ~e ~ Rte. 29 at ~ ~ tn ~t ~i~, ap~a~ 2.8 ~les east of ~e~, which is being reconstructed onder Contract No. 2~.~'/q~ designated as a Restricted Highway. is hereby Pursuant to Section 1625 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law all movement of vehicles, persons or animals on such highway is hereby restricted and regulated in accordance with the determination of the Commissioner of Transportation as evidenced by posted signs, signals or barriers placed along said highway and/or by directions by an authorized representative of the Commissioner of Transportation. Any action taken by the Commissioner of Transportation pursuant to Section 1625 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law shall supersede any other provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law where inconsistent or in conflict with respect to the following enumerated subjects: 1. Establishment of maximum and minimum speed limits at which vehicles may proceed along any such restricted highway. 2. Weights and dimensions of vehicles. 3. Use of such restricted highway by pedestrians, equestrians, and animals. 4, Parking, standing, stopping and backing of vehicles. 5. Control of persons and equipment engaged in work on such highway, The provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law with respect to registration shall not apply to vehicles and equipment engaged in work on such restricted highways. When used on such restricted highways, all traffic control devices shall be considered as official traffic control devices and shall conform to the manual and specifications for a uniform system of traffic control devices adopted by the Department of Transportation. J~--J Highway s Number J~J Waterway s Super sede s: Date '~A N 2 0 lg7.~ Pursuant to Section 42 of the Highway Law, it is OR~ED: That the following roads or highways be designated as a Detour d-,ring the period of reconstruction of M~ll Oreek Bridge Mattituck- Greenport, SS 8229 under P.I.N. 0OZ~1.26 and they are hereby taken over by the State for maintenance and repairs as a Highway Detour, viz: For eastbound traffic- From the intersection of State Route 25 and Boisseau Avenue northerly along Boisseau Avenue to the intersection of North Road, County Road 27. From the intersection of North Road~ County Road 27, and Albertson Drive southerly along ~_lbertson Drive to Oassid~ Lane (now part of Albertson Drive) to State Route 25. For westbound traffic follows the se~e route in the reverse order - The entire eastbound traffic detour being a total length of 7900 feet or 1.5 miles and the westbound traffic detour being the same, in the Town of Seutbold, the County of s,efolk, and it is FURTH~ O~: That said sections of roads or highways are hereby designated as a Highway Detour for the period of necessity only, and it is FURTHER ORD~tED: That a certified copy of this Official Order be filed with the County ~lerk and with the Superintendent of Highways of azffolk County, with the Town Olerk and the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold and also in the office of the State Comptroller.
