Dear Mr. Pagel: In reference to our telephone conversation of this date relative to One-Way streets in the hamlet of Southold: Beckwith Avenue, Hobart Avenue and Mechanic Street, I am enclosing herewith a page from the Code of the Town of Southold, Vehicles and Traffic Ordinance, Article II, Section 92-20 specifying those streets in question as one- way streets. Very truly yours, Southold Town Clerk Enclosure § 92-20 SOUTHOLD CODE Name of Street Direction Fones Street Easterly Hobart Avenue Southerly Mechanic Street Southerly Winthrop Drive Southerly § 92-30 Location Entire length Between New York Route 25 (Main Road) and Korn Road Between New York Route 25 (Main Road) and Mechanic Street East Between Ferry Road and Whistler Drive ARTICLE III Stop and Yield Intersections § 92-30, Stop intersections with stop signs. The following highway intersections are hereby designated as stop intersections and stop signs shall be erected as follows: 92O4 § 92-10 VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC § 92-20 CURBLINE -- The prolongation of the lateral line of a curb or, in the absence of a curb, the lateral boundary line of the highway. HOLIDAYS -- New Year's Day, Memorial Day, In- dependence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas shall be considered "holidays." OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD -- Whenever certain hours are named herein or on traffic control devices, they shall mean the time standard which is in current use in this state. PUBLIC PARKING LOT -- A plot or parcel of land owned and/or leased by the Town of Southold, not in- chiding highways, upon or within which the parking of vehicles is regulated by signs and/or parking meters. § 92-11. Authority to install traffic control devices. The Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold shall install and maintain traffic control devices when and as required under the provisions of this chapter, to make effective the provisions of this chapter, and may install and maintain such additional traffic control devices as he may deem necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic, under and subject to the provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York. ARTICLE II One-Way Streets § 92-20. One-way streets designated.
