The Southold Town Board, at a regular meeting held on November 12,
1997, accepts your bid of $.0649 per gallon over the Baywa¥ Refining Co.
Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, for supplying the Town with Gasoline for
calendar year 1998, and $.0490 per gallon over the Bayway Refining Co.
Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, for supplying the Town with Diesel Fuel
for calendar year 1998, both all in accordance with the bid specifications.
The Board accepted the bid of Island Fuel Distributors, Inc. in the
amount of $.0457 per gallon over the Bayway Refining Co. Tank Car
Consumer Rack Price, for supplying the Town with Heating Fuel Oil for
calendar year 1998, all in accordance with the bid specifications.

Disposal Area for Calendar Year 1998.
Specifications for such bids may be obtained at the Office of the
Southold Town Clerk, Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York
1197.
Sealed bids, together with a Non-Collusive Bid Certificate, and bank
draft or certified check in the amount of $100.00, will be received by the
Town Clerk at the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New
York, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 1997, at which time they
will be opened and 'read aloud in public. The Town Board of the Town
of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
DIESEL FUEL FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1998
Under these specifications, the Town of Southold seeks bids for
Furnishing all of the Diesel Fuel required for the $outhold Town
Highway Department (Peconlc lane, Peconlc, New York) & Southold Town
Collection Center / Disposal Area (County Route 48, CutChOgue, New York)
for the Calendar Year 1998 which is 40,000 gallons, more or less as may be
needed. Deliveries are to be made to the Highway Department and Collection
Center / Disposal Area as and when required.
In submitting bids, the bid price shall be based upon BaVWaV Refining
company's tank car consumer rack price, to which has been added the
delivery cost per gallon. The aforementioned tank car consumer rack price
is published dally in the Journal of Commerce.
Vendor receiving the award must check tanks twice weekly and fill
as necessary.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town
within four (4) hours of a req~Jest for a delivery from any TOWn Official,
and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the
week, including HOlidayS and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250
gallons or more, as may be required.
Routlne deliveries to the Highway Department must be made between
the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. NO deliveries are
to be made to the Highway Department on weekends or holidays unless an
emergency call is made. Routine deliveries to the Collection center / Disposal
Area must be made between the hours of 7:00 AM to S:OO PM, Monday
through Sunday. NO deliveries are to be made to the Collection Center /
Disposal Area on holidays unless an emergency call is made. All fuel tickets
for deliveries to the TOWn must be signed by a TOWn employee.
Vendor receiving award must supply service for any and all repairs
or replacements on Town owned pumps.
The Bid price shall not include any federal, state, or local tax, from
which the Town of Southold is exempt.
The Southold Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all
bids and waive any defect or informality in any bid should it be deemed In
the best Interest of the Town of Southold to dO so.
