The Southold Town Board, at a regular meeting held on November 12,
1997, accepts your bid of $.0649 per gallon over the Bayway Refining Co.
Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, for supplying the Town with Gasoline for
calendar year 1998, and $.0490 per gallon over the Bayway Refining Co.
Tank Car Consumer Rack Price, for supplying the Town with Diesel Fuel
for calendar year 1998, both all in accordance with the bid specifications.
The Board accepted the bid of Island Fuel Distributors, Inc. in the
amount of $.0457 per gallon over the Bayway Refining Co. Tank Car
Consumer Rack Price, for supplying the Town with Heating Fuel Oil for
calendar year 1998, all in accordance with the bid specifications.
Returned herewith are your three (3) $100.00 bid checks. Thank you

Bid on GASOLINE - 1998
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1998
Under these specifications, the Town of SOUthold seeks bids for the
purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1998 calendar year
for all Town Departments.
The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacitv tank at the
Police Headquarters at Peconic, New York, and uses approximatelv 70,000
gallons of unleaded gasoline annuallV.
The Hlgl~wav Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded
gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are
located at the Hlgl~wav Department premises at Peconlc Lane, Peconic,
New York. Tl~e Highwav Department uses approxlmatelv 12,000 gallons of
unleaded gasoline annually, and approximately 24,000 gallons of unleaded
plus gasoline annuallV.
In submitting bids, the bidder must either submit a fixed price per
gallon to be charged throughout the term of the contract, or a price which
is based on a rack price at the bidder's source of suPPlV. If a rack price is
used, the lowest rack price within five (5) davs of each delivery to tl~e
Town must be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder must
be supplied bV the bidder to the Town upon request.
Vendor receiving the award must check tanks twice weekly and fill
as necessary.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town
within four (4) hours of a request for a delivery from anv Town Official,
and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the
week, including HolldaVS and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250
gallons or more, as mav be required.
Routine deliveries to the Highway Department must be made be[ween
the bouts of 7:00 AM to $:00 PM, Monday through Friday. NO deliveries are
to be made on weekends or holidays unless an emergencv call is made by the
Highwav Department. All gas tickets for deliveries to the Highway
Department must be signed bV a highway emplovee.
Vendor receiving award must supplv service for anv and all repairs
or replacements on Town owned pumps.
Bid prices are not to include any federal, state, or local tax, from
wt~ich the TOWn of $0utl~old Is exempt.
The Town of $outhold reserves the rigl~t to reject anv and atl bids
if it is deemed in the best interest of the Town of Southold to do so.
Bids must include a non-collusive bid certificate, and be signed and

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, that sealed bids are sought and
requested for the purchase of Gasoline by the Town of Southold for
calendar year 1998.
Specifications for such bids may be obtained at the Office of the
Southold Town Clerk, Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York
11971.
Sealed bids, together with a Non-Collusive Bid Certificate, and bank
draft or certified check in the amount of $100.00, will be received by the
Town Clerk at the Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New
York, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 1997, at which time they
will be opened and read aloud in public. The Town Board of the Town
of Southold reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any
and all informalities in any bid should it be deemed in the best interest
of the Town of Southold to do so.
All bids must be signed and sealed in envelopes plainly marked "Bid
on Gasoline", and submitted to the Town Clerk. The bid price shall not
include any tax, federal, state, or local, from which the Town of Southold

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1998
Under these specifications, the Town of Southold seeks bids for the
purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1998 calendar year
for all Town Departments.
The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacity tank at the
Police Headquarters at Peconic, New York, and uses approximately 70,000
gallons of unleaded gasoline annually.
The Highway Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded
gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are
located at the Highway Department premises at Peconic Lane, Peconic,
New YOrk. The Highway Department uses approximately 12,000 gallons of
unleaded gasoline annually, and approximately 24,000 gallons of unleaded
plus gasoline annually.
In submitting bids, the bidder must either submit a fixed price per
gallon to be charged throughout the term of the contract, or a price which
is based on a rack price at the bidder's source of supply. If a rack price is
used, the lowest rack price within five (5) days of each delivery to the
Town must be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder must
be Supplied by the bidder to the Town upon request.
Vendor receiving the award must check tanks ~NiCe weekly and fill
as necessary.
The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town
within four (4) hours of a request fora delivery from any Town Official,
and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the
week, including Holidays and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250
gallons or more, as may be required.
