(if any) _ Bid on GASOLINE - 1998 SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1998 Under these specifications, the Town of SOUthold seeks bids for the purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1998 calendar year for all Town Departments. The Police Department maintains a 2,500 gallon capacitv tank at the Police Headquarters at Peconic, New York, and uses approximatelv 70,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline annuallV. The Hlgl~wav Department maintains a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded gasoline, and a 1,000 gallon tank for unleaded plus gasoline. All tanks are located at the Hlgl~wav Department premises at Peconlc Lane, Peconic, New York. Tl~e Highwav Department uses approxlmatelv 12,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline annually, and approximately 24,000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline annuallV. In submitting bids, the bidder must either submit a fixed price per gallon to be charged throughout the term of the contract, or a price which is based on a rack price at the bidder's source of suPPlV. If a rack price is used, the lowest rack price within five (5) davs of each delivery to tl~e Town must be used. Verification of the rack price used by the bidder must be supplied bV the bidder to the Town upon request. Vendor receiving the award must check tanks twice weekly and fill as necessary. The successful bidder will be required to make deliveries to the Town within four (4) hours of a request for a delivery from anv Town Official, and such bidder will be required to make deliveries on any day of the week, including HolldaVS and shall make deliveries in such quantities of 250 gallons or more, as mav be required. Routine deliveries to the Highway Department must be made be[ween the bouts of 7:00 AM to $:00 PM, Monday through Friday. NO deliveries are to be made on weekends or holidays unless an emergencv call is made by the Highwav Department. All gas tickets for deliveries to the Highway Department must be signed bV a highway emplovee. Vendor receiving award must supplv service for anv and all repairs or replacements on Town owned pumps. FORWARD ONE (1) TOWN CLERK, TOWN SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE FOR THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1998 Under these specifications, the Town of Southold seeks bids for the purchase of all of its gasoline requirements for the 1998 calendar year for all Town Departments.
