Trustee Krupski suggested a meeting there to clarify our repair/rebuilding request for the platform:at the lake. Since Dave and I are want to resolve any lingering questions)on this permit with you in person---we are anxious to be part of the inspect on and review on June 12. Unfortunately that date is also the date that my deceased father, Dr. Warren Koch, a High School principal for 30 years in Sliffolk County is to be honored for his work by New York State at a luncheon] My father passed away last summer and the luncheon was originally scheduled the week after 9/11. As this rescheduled luncheon honoring my father is a must fr us, we were hoping that the Trustees could set an inspection time for us 0 late in the day as possible on 6/12 as we will not be able to leave Plainview I before 2:15- 2:30pm. Permit #5301. -in preparing to rebuild deck/dock, we realized the permit was not correct in the dimensions and description to rebuild the original platform area (formerly referred to as dock) and the existing bulkhead had also not been detailed on the permit. -We resubmitted a permit application to correct the dimensions of the original platform and to detail the existing bulkhead to be rebuilt. As we needed to resubmit for these amendments, we then decided to widen the stairs by one foot and to add a handrail. We also decided the upper deck was not necessary, so we propose to change that into an open, lat(ice shade overhang. -We agreed with Trustee Krupski in the original permit hearing to eliminate the boathouse.
