The meeting began at 7:13 p.m. with three LPC members present. Adoption of Meeting Minutes: ?? Adoption of LPC meeting minutes from February 7, 2006 No quorum for motion. Applications: EXECUTIVE SESSION. The Members entered into ?? N&J MANAGEMENT CO. PROPERTY (TPDR) [executive session] SCTM #: 1000-113-13-1.2 Location: 4735 Westphalia Rd, Mattituck Total Acreage: ±17.32 acres PDR Acreage: ±15-16 acres Zoned: R-80 CPF: Yes Reviewed appraisal. [executive session] Eric Keil absent from discussion. Melissa reviewed with three LPC members the appraisal. No further action taken at this time. Appraisal to be discussed further at next LPC meeting. This project is one of those on the State grant proposal submitted in January 2006. END OF EXECUTIVE SESSION ?? Property is located adjacent to Cutchogue/New Suffolk Park District. LPC doesn’t feel that these parcels warrant purchase but would review further if presented as donation. If parcels to be donated, perhaps they should go to Park District? Melissa to discuss further with The Nature Conservancy, as TNC had on CLPS priority map. Melissa to discuss further with applicant. ?? SHALVEY PROPERTY SCTM #: 1000-84-2-2.1 Location: 5200 Bridge La, Cutchogue (n/e corner of Bridge & CR48) Total Acreage: ±19.945 acres PDR Acreage: ±16.13 acres Zoned: A-C CPF: Yes Reviewed status of and changes to application. Melissa met with Tom Shalvey, one of the landowners. They would like to move the proposed reserve area out of the swale and they may no longer want to pursue a subdivision. LPC discussed use of structure on Bridge Lane (on Bridge Lane/middle of property). If development rights are sold on entire property – structure could be used for ag purposes only. Melissa Spiro and John Sepenoski will attempt to have another meeting with Tom Shalvey to gather more information as to his intentions for the property and his preferred location of reserve area. ?? Gail Wickham has offered fee title on the property. MOTION made by Ray Blum, seconded by Eric Keil, to direct Melissa Spiro to commission an appraisal for fee title purchase on the Wickham property. Motion carried: 4/0. ?? Landowner made application to sell the R-80 zoned property to Town. MOTION made by Ray Blum, seconded by Craig Arm, to direct Melissa Spiro to commission an appraisal for fee title on R-80 property owned by FITF, LLC. Motion carried: 4/0. EXECUTIVE SESSION. [executive session] Review of first appraisal began. Discussion to continue at a later meeting after second appraisal commissioned by Randy Parsons of TNC is received. POLLERT PROPERTY SCTM #: 1000-34-4-19.1 Location: 1100 County Rd 48, Greenport Total Acreage: ±17.62 acres (GIS 17.64 acres) (survey 17.569 acres) Zoned: R-80 Subdividable: Yes FWet: 1.27 acres CPF: Yes Reviewed inquiry re: preservation. Property listed for sale. This property is located within the intended Greenport “halo” area. Melissa directed to contact Randy Parsons of The Nature Conservancy as to TNC’s interest in the purchase of fee title. General: ?? Stewardship Update – Jim McMahon’s stewardship memo re: project updates distributed to members. John Sepenoski and Melissa Spiro brought members up-to-date on stewardship projects now being done at Laurel Lake and Arshamomaque Preserves. It was decided that Melissa request Jim McMahon’s attendance at a near future LPC meeting to allow for LPC members to participate in direction of stewardship and the intended goals for preserved lands. ?? EWH, LLC (Peter Harbes) – public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, 2006 @ 5:00 p.m. Anticipate closing early March 2006. ?? Meyer – Closing held on February 9, 2006 Next Regular Meeting: ?? Tuesday, March 7, 2006,7:00 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held on at in the Town Hall Conference Room. (Ray Huntington will not be attending this meeting.)
